Gustavo Lopez picked off former Main Event champ Martin Jacobson late on Day 2C, which helped propel him to the front of the pack. Lopez finished with 630K, or the most on Day 2C. Overall, he's second and trailing chip leader Valetin Vornicu, who bagged up over 838K on Day 2A/2B. The Grinder is currently ninth overall in chips. The defending champ, Joe McKeehen, is still alive and thriving. Other former champions still alive... Phil Hellmuth and Ryan Reiss.
